The AS-LATCH is a zinc-plated steel spring-loaded latch designed to keep a door or drawer securely closed. The latch is mounted on one tube of the moving section and clips onto a second parallel tube when the door or drawer is pushed into the closed position. The spring-loaded mechanism automatically engages around the receiving tube, helping prevent accidental opening during use or movement.

To install the AS-LATCH, secure the latch body to the tube of the opening side of the door or drawer. Position the second tube parallel to the mounting pipe and align it with the opening of the latch. When the moving section is closed, the receiving pipe pushes against the spring-loaded latch and clips into place.

Assembly tip:

Temporarily position the AS-LATCH before completing the final tightening. Close the door or drawer several times to confirm that the latch aligns properly, clips into place smoothly, and releases without requiring excessive force.

Technical note:

Spacing between the tubes should be 1.5 inch (center to center). Incorrect spacing or misalignment could prevent the latch from clipping properly or cause premature wear.
