Technical Information

The AO-CLAMP is a black plastic positioning clamp used to secure a pivoting/sliding joint (HJ-11, HJ-12, HJ-23 or HJ-24) in place on a pipe. Installed on either side of the joint, it helps prevent lateral movement and keeps the connector properly positioned during use.

To install the AO-CLAMP, place one clamp on one/each side of the pivoting joint, then secure each clamp around the pipe using the included tapping screw. The clamps should be positioned close to the joint to limit unwanted movement.

Assembly tip:

Install and lightly tighten both AO-CLAMP components before completing the final tightening. This makes it easier to center the connector joint and adjust its position before locking the assembly in place.

Technical note:

The AO-CLAMP is designed primarily as a positioning and retaining accessory. Make sure both clamps are installed firmly against the connector joint and avoid overtightening the tapping screws, as excessive pressure could damage or deform the plastic components and/or strip the screw head.
