5 way cross joint set

5 way cross joint set steel bk

In stock

The HJ-5 is a metal connector set that allows you to create a five-pipe intersection on three axes. This joint is used in very specific and unique situations. This assembly is typically done to make a flag, or to make a wheel stand out in the middle of a structure.

To create an HJ-5, you need to group four H-2 together with four M6-25B bolts and four M6-N nuts. Since this connector is made only from H-2, you should have all parts necessary in stock if you use a lot of HJ-2 and HJ-3 joints. This connector will not be used frequently on your Flexpipe structures. However, it could come in handy in the situations mentioned above. Before you consider using the HJ-5 for wheels or flags, always check if you can replace it with HJ-2, HJ-3, or HJ-4, since those connectors have less effect on the structural strength.

This joint is the trickiest to assemble for beginners because it is made up of so many parts. Fortunately, you will have gained a good amount of experience with the Flexpipe system before having to assemble this joint. The HJ-5 is equipped with a total of 16 striations for grip and 16 reinforcement holes. However, we still recommend that you check for stronger connectors before using it. The HJ-5 is compatible with most 28mm pipe systems out there. Don't forget to select the ESD version called HJ-5NP for all you antistatic needs.
